Second-best week of the season for the league – 280 average and 13 scores above 300. KC Chief (42nd in Yahoo) was the surprise winner with a 361.





WORLD CUP
We have at least six teams playing in both the RPD and the RMFN, and depending on the matchups based on the seeds to start the season, the results at the end of the first round were startling for some. Cooter finished fifth in its RPD group but second in its RMFN group; the opposite was true for Hoosier.

Nine seeds were decided by tiebreakers, including two that decided automatic bids into the next round.
DAYTONA: 1. 24rules; 2. Cooter; 3. HangOnHarvick. Tiebreakers: 2-3 vs. Byhalia; 4-5 head to head.
BRISTOL: 1. Eight is Enough; 2. Redline Outlaw; 3. Team Lester. Tiebreakers: 2-3 vs. Eight is Enough.
TALLADEGA: 1. Bassman Racing; 2. PeTeeTong-Wachs; 3. N.D.I. 4. Heavy Metal Heroes (No. 2 fourth-place finisher, 262.5 average). Tiebreakers: 2-4 head to head; 2-3 head to head.
LOWE’S: 1. BH Racing; 2. MEMTigers; 3. Sliced Bread. Tiebreakers: 2-4 WC points average.
INDIANAPOLIS: 1. CandiiRacers; 2. Team 14-5; 3. HMS Chevy Gurl. 4. SwOOp (best fourth-place finisher, 277.1 average)
HOMESTEAD: 1. Blue Angel Racing; 2. REDNECK; 3. Leather & Lace
DARLINGTON: 1. RacinProwler; 2. ROADWARRIORS; 3. Rocketman. Tiebreaker: 4-5 head to head.
WATKINS GLEN: 1. Trouble in 2; 2. Team Fritson; 3. Go Happy Harvick. Tiebreakers: 1-2 vs. Go Happy Harvick; 4-5 vs. Team Fritson.
MARTINSVILLE: 1. FordFucusRacing; 2. Syrup; 3. Roadrunner. Tiebreaker: 2-3 WC points average.
POCONO: 1. Rolling Thunder; 2. need4speed; 3. testcar.

The final finishes for the remaining teams were decided by grouping the fifth- and fourth-place teams together and then sorting them by WC points average. BlessedWyomingMom was the last team eliminated with a 261.4 average.

Winners bracket: SwOOp holds the biggest lead of 126 points; five of the seven matchups have differences of less than 100 points.
Losers bracket: KC Chief holds a 200-point lead; FC Newman leads Detroit Rock City by just 23.





SINGLE ELIM HEAT
Two races left in the second round. There’s a 2-point difference between the last team advancing to the third round and the last team eliminated in the second round. The No. 15-21 teams are separated by just 35 points.




DOUBLE ELIM HEAT
Two races left in the second round.
Winners heat: Sliced Bread currently holds the last spot to advance; 24rules is currently the last team headed to the losers’ heat.
Losers heat: BH Racing holds the last spot to advance by 15 points over Detroit Rock City and by 21 points over Kudzu Racing.




CHASE
All but two teams with a win would currently be in the Chase, given the 400-point cushion. The current cutoff would be 2564, leaving 25 teams in the Chase.




OVERALL
Some changes with the first round of the World Cup complete. BlessedWyomingMom (18th) is the highest team with at least one elimination; Heavy Metal Heroes (30th) is the highest with two eliminations. Cooter (26th) is the highest team with no eliminations.
