BASICS

* Gotta Love Jr's top score resulted in a jump to first place. The 323 was its fifth straight 300-plus week.

* The average of 245 was the lowest since Vegas (243) and just six teams scored 300 or better.

DOUBLE ELIM, BRACKET
Winners' bracket - 100-plus point leads heading into the final race of the second round: The Man, key west, BlessedMom, FordFucus, Gotta Love.
Losers' bracket - 100-plus point deficits heading into the final race of the second round: martski, Recession, BURNINRUBBER.

DOUBLE ELIM, HEAT
Winners' heat - One race to go in the round and the last of the 16 to advance have a good cushion. Tony is the Man (in 16th) has 854, jackman (in 17th) has 812. Based on the league's average score, the cutoff will be just above 1100.
Losers' heat - One race to go in the round, and the projected cutoff will be just above 1075.

WORLD CUP
REMINDER: Top three teams from each group advance along with the top two fourth-place teams (based on PFA).

* Daytona: Caguama and Dale's Neck likely advance; Rip Em's close.

* Bristol: Junior's will advance; need4speed is close to securing a spot.

* Talladega: Rock~N~Roll will advance; Tar urn, Black Bear and martski are fighting for the last two automatic spots.

* Lowe's: London Pride will advance; Rolling Thunder, Crash Test and Ala are fighting for the last two automatic spots; yduck has been eliminated.

* Indianapolis: Hoosier holds a narrow lead; FordFucus, red clouds and key west are in contention.

* Homestead: A mess - Anyone but Jimmie and jackman lead; FC Newman, Tabasco and HP1Stewart are tied for third.

* Darlington: Gotta Love Jr will advance; #3, miz, Rubbin's and Anubis are still alive.

* Watkins Glen: Tony and TOOLIN' will advance; Dodge Caravan will likely join them; Abbie needs to win out and get lots of help; Nascar has been eliminated.

* Martinsville: Speed Demon will advance; Blessed will likely advance; Recession and BURNINRUBBER are battling for the final automatic spot.

* Pocono: A mess, part 2 - Wade, Rev, Dale and TheMan share the lead; Gonzo is just one game back.

London Pride, Gotta Love Jr and Rip Em built big leads after the first of six races in the second round.

SINGLE ELIM, HEAT

Gotta Love, Caguama, FordFucus, BLOWINSMOKE and London Pride scored 300+ to open the second round; anyone near the 200-point line is in trouble.

CHASE

* If you've won a race (top score), you're likely in right now. Just three teams who won or shared a race tropy are outside the top 12.

* Chase cutoff is currently 1783, which would include the top 32 teams.

OVERALL

The top 10 looks a lot like the Yahoo standings - that will change soon with the first eliminations in the double elimination formats and the end of the spring season after Darlington.
