BASICS
CandiiRacer's 369 was the season's best thus far and highlighted a strong week for the league. The average of 271 was the second-best of the season and there were just two scored below 200 - tying the season low.
DOUBLE ELIM, BRACKET
Second round completed at Phoenix.
Winners' Bracket: Nine matchups were decided by 100 points or less; Rolling Thunder's 19-point win over Cooter was the closest decision. Kudzu is the lowest ranked team in the bracket (Yahoo No. 37). Key matchups include Yahoo No. 5 ROADWARRIORS and Yahoo No. 8 HMS Chevy Gurl; Yahoo No. 2 testcar vs. Yahoo No. 7 Redline Outlaw; and Yahoo No. 10 Rolling Thunder vs. Yahoo No. 12 FordFucus.
Losers' Bracket: Seven of the nine matchups were decided by 89 points or less. Tough luck awards to CJ Motorsports (lost by 25); NDI (lost by 14); Blue Angel (lost by 10); and Byhalia (lost by 2 to Bassman).
DOUBLE ELIMINATION, HEAT
Second round completed at Phoenix.
Winners' Heat: The cutoff was 1094, giving NDI the final spot. Eight is Enough, AFTER((88))BURNER, SwOOp and Kudzu moved to the Losers' Heat by 20 points or less. Seven of the top 10 seeds remain in the Winners' Heat.
Losers' Heat: The elimination cutoff was 1108; BH Racing took the last spot. Blue Angel was eliminated by just 5 points; whoopdewhoo (the highest seed eliminated at No. 22) by 20.
WORLD CUP
Two weeks remain in Track Qualifying. See the "World Cup Seeds" page for the next round's matchups if Track Qualifying ended after Phoenix.
Daytona: All five teams remain in contention for first through fifth place.
Bristol: Eight is Enough will advance; the other four teams remain in contention for automatic bids.
Talladega: All five teams remain in contention for first through fifth place.
Lowe's: All five teams remain in contention for automatic bids.
Indianapolis: CandiiRacers and Team 14-5 will advance; HMS_Chevy and AFTER((88)) are vying for the final automatic spot.
Homestead: All five teams remain in contention for first through fifth place.
Darlington: RacinProwler and ROADWARRIORS will advance; the other three teams remain in contention for the other automatic bid.
Watkins Glen: W-Y-O can't secure an automatic bid; the other four teams remain in contention for the automatic bids.
Martinsville: FordFucus will advance; the other three teams are vying for the other two automatic spots.
Pocono: Rolling Thunder and need4speed will advance; testcar and FC Newman are vying for the final spot.

Good week - no one under 300 and London Pride posted the No. 2 score of the season (360). The league average of 274 was the second highest of the season.
DOUBLE ELIM, BRACKET
Second round completed at Phoenix.
Winners' Bracket: Some really close decisions to finish the round - Rolling Thunder by 1 over Rubbin's Racin; London Pride by 21 over Tar urn; and Cooter by 3 over jackman. No. 1 seed Cooter is the lowest ranked team in the Yahoo standings (34th).
Losers' Bracket: Tough luck awards to Burn Rubber (lost by 12 to Crash Test Dummy) and HP1Stewartfan (lost by 13 to moonshiner). Tabasco Kings (15th seed) was the highest seed eliminated in the second round.
DOUBLE ELIM, HEAT
Second round completed at Phoenix.
Winners' Heat: The cutoff was 1092, giving Wade Chapman the last spot. red clouds and Junior Nation were 8 points short and sent to the Losers' Heat. Seven of the top 10 seeds - including Wade Chapman - remain in the Winners' Heat.
Losers' Heat: The cutoff was 1085, giving Anubis the last spot; Burn Rubber was eliminated by 8 points and moonshiner by 25. The highest seeds eliminated in the second round include JESTER (12th; left) and moonshiner (20th).
WORLD CUP

BASICS
* RacinProwler's fourth straight 300+ week kept it in first place.
* The league average of 253 was the lowest since Vegas; six teams scored 300 or more points.





DOUBLE ELIM, BRACKET
One race to go in the second round.
Winners' bracket - Teams with leads of 100 or more points include Syrup (seeded 49th), ROADWARRIORS, 24rules, RacinProwler, SwOOp, Sliced Bread and Redline Outlaw.
Losers' bracket - REDNECK is the only team that needs to make up a deficit of 100 or more points in this weekend's race. Everything else is relatively tight.



DOUBLE ELIM, HEAT
One race remaining in the round.
Winners' heat - Projected cutoff (based on the league's average score for the season) is 1120. That puts a lot of pressure on the teams from 19th on down.
Losers' heat - Projected cutoff for elimination is around 1050. Pressure's on teams in 14th and lower.




WORLD CUP
REMINDER: Top three teams from each group advance along with the top two fourth-place teams (based on PFA). We have completed seven of the 10 races in this round.
* Daytona - A mess. Cooter, 24rules, HangOn and Byhalia are tied for first; Detroit is one game back.
* Bristol - Eight is Enough has secured a spot in the next round; Lester is close; Redline and whoopde are battling for the final automatic bid; LT4SS has been eliminated.
* Talladega - A mess, part 2. Heavy Metal, NDI, Bassman and CJ are tied for first; PeTeeTong is one game back.
* Lowe's - Sliced Bread and BH are tied for the lead and close to securing a spot; followed by KC Chief, MEM and Slammers (which needs to win out and get some help to advance).
* Indianapolis - Team 14-5 will advance and will likely be joined by Candii. HMS and AFTER are battling for the final automatic spot; SwOOp needs to win out and get some help.
* Homestead - Blue Angel leads and is close to securing a spot; REDNECK and Leather are tied for second; RACING and Blessed round out the close-to-messy group.
* Darlington - ROADWARRIORS is in; RacinProwler is close. TURBO and Rocketman hold a one-game lead over Kudzu (needs to win out and get help to challenge).
* Watkins Glen - Trouble in 2 needs one point to secure a spot in the next round; Hoosier, Go Happy and Fritson are tied for second, one game back. W-Y-O needs to cowboy up and win out to make a run at the other teams.
* Martinsville - A mess, part 3. FordFucus, RoadRunner and Syrup are tied for first and each needs one point to secure a spot in the next round; Couch Potato is two games back.
* Pocono - Rolling Thunder is in; need4speed needs one more point. testcar and FC Newman hold a one-game lead over crazy lady.

SwOOp and BlessedMom built big leads after the first of six races in the second round.

SwOOp, Syrup, FordFucus and RacinProwler opened the second round with 300+ scores; four teams are below 200 and are in trouble (including the No. 2 and No. 4 seeds).

* If you've won a race (top score), you're likely in right now. Just two teams who won or shared a race tropy are outside the top 12.
* Chase cutoff is currently 1698, which would include the top 41 teams.

OVERALL

The top 10 looks a lot like the Yahoo standings - that will change soon with the first eliminations in the double elimination formats and the end of the spring season after Darlington.
